We recently got back from Dahab, Egypt after a quick 5 day trip to move some belongings out there and to catch up with some friends, a few birthday celebrations and before we knew it, it was time to come home again!
As always it goes too fast. Following on from my previous post though, I’d like to emphasise just how safe it felt there the whole time. If anything the military were less ‘in your face’ from my last visit and the transfer between Sharm El Sheikh and Dahab was quicker and smoother, everyone was as friendly as ever, of course.
Speaking of the previous post, I have to say I was absolutely blown away by the response it received, the blog post itself received over 27,000 hits of its own, I gained 47 new subscribers to my blog (no pressure for what I put in this post then, hey?), it was shared over 10,000 times on Facebook…I couldn’t believe it! At one point it was gaining over 1000 hits an hour. Also I had various people and companies contact me with regards to Egypt, wanting to talk to me about some project etc…
I’d just like to say to all those that shared it…thank you. Who knows how much of a difference in made, but 27,000 views is certainly a lot better than none.
Going on from this, we have both finished our jobs (well Ana has, still one week to go for me) – now we’re continuing the big sort out of things in the house to get rid of and sell. I’ve got some on-line business ventures to explore. The official countdown for leaving to go and see the world is on!
First trip is a Diving trip to Guernsey at the end of August, from there its Portugal, then Spain, then Scotland, then back to Dahab 🙂
I’m not sure which schedule I’ll be keeping the blog posts too yet, if any at all…however, all opinions, comments, thoughts etc are always welcome.
Until next time 🙂
